Medical Evaluation Boards Element

The purpose of a Medical Evaluation Board is to maintain a fit and vital force. To achieve that end, disability law authorizes the Secretary of the Air Force to separate those military members who can no longer perform the duties of their office, grade, rank, or rating and to ensure fair compensation to those whose military careers are cut short due to a service-incurred or service-aggravated medical condition. The purpose of the MEB Office is to explain your options and what you can expect during each step.
