Community Health and Communicable Disease
Included within the community health element are communicable disease control and prevention, food safety and defense, medical entomology, sanitary compliance, and Public Health contingency response. Public Health conducts epidemiological surveillance on various communicable diseases and ensures members are treated in accordance with Center for Disease Control, state, and Air Force guidelines. Public Health also provides health briefings to high-risk groups, or as requested by various agencies. Public Health also leads the food safety and public facility sanitation programs by inspecting all relevant facilities and ensuring compliance with the Tri-Service Food Code.
