How it Works
The 19th Medical Group is offering a once-weekly walk-in contraceptive clinic. Individuals wanting to start contraception can walk in to the front desk of the Family Health Clinic on Thursdays, 8 - 9 a.m. and will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment or referral is needed. This service is available for all active duty service members, and National Guard/Reserve members on active duty orders, who are interested in starting a contraceptive method of their choosing on the same day (other than sterilizations). All patients will be expected to provide a urine sample for a pregnancy test. The Contraceptive Care Walk-in Clinic will be closed the third Thursday of every month for training.
This service is for starting contraceptives only; all other gynecological-related concerns will need a referral from your Primary Care Manager.
